Your session fee covers your photography experience and studio time. Finished digital images are selected separately, so you only purchase the photographs you truly love.
After your session, you'll receive a proof gallery where you can review your images and choose your favorites before any final retouching is completed.
There's no need to decide how many images you want before your session.
Instead of choosing an image package before your session, you get to make your purchasing decisions after seeing the photographs we created together.

Step by Step.
From choosing your session to receiving your finished photographs, the process is designed to be simple, collaborative, and focused on creating images you love.
Book Your Session
Choose your session length, select an available date and time, and complete your booking online.
Plan & Prepare
Bring your outfits, ideas, inspiration, and any required audition poses. I also recommend planning and practicing a handful of poses you already feel comfortable performing so we have a strong starting point for your session.
Create Together
We'll photograph, adjust, experiment, and review images together in real time, building variations from the poses and ideas you're comfortable performing.
Select & Receive
Choose your favorite images from your proof gallery. Your selections are professionally retouched and delivered digitally within approximately two weeks.
You don't need to plan every pose or concept before you arrive. I recommend preparing a handful of poses that feel comfortable and highlight your strengths. From there, we'll build variations, refine details, experiment with lighting, and create additional ideas together.

Are digital images included with the session fee?
Digital images are purchased separately at $45 each. After your session, you'll receive a proof gallery where you can choose exactly which photographs you'd like professionally retouched and delivered.
Which session should I choose?
The one-hour session works well for audition photos, headshots, or a more focused creative session. The up to two-hour session is the better choice if you'd like several outfits, multiple concepts, creative lighting setups, or a combination of audition and artistic images.
How many outfits can I bring?
You're welcome to bring multiple options. There isn't a specific outfit limit, but the number we're able to photograph will depend on your session length, wardrobe changes, and the complexity of each setup.
Do I need to know how to pose?
I recommend planning and practicing at least a handful of poses that you already feel comfortable performing. Every dancer has different strengths, flexibility, and skill levels, so starting with poses you know you can execute confidently gives us a great foundation. From there, we can build variations, adjust angles, refine details, and create additional ideas together throughout the session.
Can we take audition photos during my session?
Absolutely. We can photograph your required headshot and audition poses and then use the remaining session time for additional portraits, outfits, or creative concepts.
Can another dancer be photographed during my session?
Yes. If you're planning to photograph more than one dancer, let us know when booking so we can make sure the session length gives everyone enough time and determine the best setup for what you'd like to create.
When will I receive my finished photos?
After you submit your final image selections, your photographs are professionally retouched and typically delivered digitally within approximately two weeks.
Where do sessions take place?
Individual sessions take place at the DFW Dance Photography studio in Mansfield, Texas. You'll receive the studio details and preparation information as part of the booking process.
